The Spartanburg County FAPA will meet on Monday, March 29th 2010 from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.  Sitters will be provided - we hope you will join us. PLEASE COME EARLY!!!!

Come- at 6:15 - Enjoy food and fellowship with other foster families

  Association members will be voting on some important issues at the March meeting, so we hope to see you there!

Great things are in store for foster families and children in 2010!

I am sure you will be as excited as we are about these opportunities

but we do have a request! 

When asked to RSVP to an event, please do so in a timely manner, there will be some activities this year that require advance payment and planning and if you do not RSVP you will not be able to participate!

 A special activity is coming up on Saturday, March 27th so mark your calendar we're going to have a great time!

Need hours and strapped for time?

Lunch & Learn is the answer for you

Currently the session is available weekdays at the DSS building

at 142 S. Dean St.

Call 864/596-3001 x3514 - we'll schedule a time & day

you can come to the office and choose a topic of interest to you from a library of informative brochures - read the information and take a short test - that is all there is to it!

 

Have you heard of the COLORS program? 

Do you have a foster child who is interested in art such as painting, drawing, print making, clay, photography or graphic design computers & software?

COLORS is a free program conducted at the Chapman Cultural Center

There is a very simple application

This program is a year around program held from 3:00-6:00 p.m. 

COLORS participants have the opportunity to:

  • Paint murals in the community
  • Visit exhibitions hald in the Spartanburg Art Museum and other galleries
  • exhibit their artwork on and off-site
  • compete in art contest and take field trips
